Restoring Aquatic Habitats

Sweetwater Alliance was created in 2002 as a fusion between ecological restoration and art and as a vehicle to creatively restore aquatic habitats. Currently, our major emphasis is to fund, design and build a Stormwater Garden on Duluth's Lake Superior waterfront.

Mission Statement

To organize and implement community based ecological restoration projects that bring together environmental education, arts and artists, cultural and natural history, while encouraging the understanding of ecosystems, development of sustainable communities and economies.

Public Service Announcement

Sweetwater Alliance and kids from Animal Allies (Duluth) Youth Allies program have collaborated on a commercial encouraging people to pick up their pet's waste.  The video has an emphasis on water quality concerns as well as pet responsibility.  For more information contact Jill Jacoby at info@sweetwateralliance.org
