 | Jill Jacoby - Founder & Executive Director I began delving into art and science collaborations when I was project manager for the St. Louis River Watch program in Duluth, Minnesota. In June of 1995 I traveled to the city of Chengdu in China as a member of an international team of artists and scientists assembled to create art related to water quality. Returning to Duluth I realized that what I wanted to do was to try and replicate some of the community energy and art-based projects that were so successful in Chengdu. I created Sweetwater Alliance in 2002 as a vehicle to move theses type of art and science collaborations forward.
